Cool man! My grandad was a TV repair man on the side. He had a whole box full of tubes of different sizes. Crazy to remember. Thanks for that.

Ever think about how much those testers with tubes would be worth now? Many organs ( the musical kind ) still use tubes in their power supplies.
Other things most of the young don't know about now;
Tying shoes. Telling time from a watch or clock with hands. Good journalists.

CD players have already gone the way of the Dodo Bird. The auto manufacturers expect everyone to get their music via either XM, or by Blueteething their IPOD or other music device into their auto stereo system.

LOL, When I bought my Jeep a few years back I actually asked where the CD player was and the salesman just looked at me with a dumbfounded look. My wife who is 8 years younger than I am was mortified that I had embarrassed her.

I have a '93 Chevy S-10 with AM/FM and a cassette slot. Hasn't been working for a few years and can't find an original replacement to play cassettes after checking several parts websites, Ebay and a couple salvage yards. Now close to giving up and getting a new radio installed.
Was able to program the radio on a '49 Hudson Commodore at the age of 12 in 1959.
