CFP if no families allowed. Not sure he can make that call. Hopefully the numb nut in Cali will let families in.

Kelly is more than delusional if he thinks he can do

anything to control a bunch of Calipornia Libtards. If he wants to stay home and boycott the CFP, the Committee should oblige him. :)

I resent the libtards thing, but you are right about Kelly. If there were going to be tens of thousands of ND (& Clemson) fans there - spending millions of dollars - coaches might have some leverage. But there won't and they don't.

How does it hurt CA if ND doesn't play ??

I agree, but who wants it ? Any other bowl is going to have to go through a lot of effort to safely put on the game - and they are not likely to be rewarded financially because of reduced attendance.

74Tiger you using good logic and common sense; "so the NCAA probably won't listen"!

Ok.. I don't "disagree" with your sentiment. But you are wrong

The NCAA only controls the eligibility of student athletes. They have zero say over the CFP.

The conference commissioners plus dippy doo Notre dumb and the bowl presidents got together and came up with the bowls, locations, formats..etc.

Then signed deals with they can change anything they want within the rules of the contract.

I detest the politics of California, and yet here I would

LOVE for them to call his bluff just to watch him fold.

Boycotting a CFP spot over family attending. What a self-important moron that would make him.

That just shows how much he cares for his kids and family, IMO

Lol. Oh yeah, I can se that in 40 years...

“It was my senior year at Notre Dame and we’d earned a spot in the playoffs! But it was a pandemic and California was being ultra-careful and wouldn’t even let family of players in the stadium! Well, Coach Kelly cares too much about us to stand for that, so we stayed home! I’ll never forget the time my coach showed how much he cared about us by skipping the CFP!”

Swarley, just remember one man’s ultra careful is another man’s state controlled freedom grab.

I'm with him on wanting the families to be able to come and watch but no way do they sit out if it isnt allowed lol. He said it was the players choice to cover his butt.

It's the ND way...entitlement.

Notre Dame declined to play in bowl games for many years

Posted: Dec 18, 2020, 2:11 PM

... but that was back when the National Champ was chosen prior to the bowls being played.

I cannot imagine a coach, athletic department, or university administration allowing this to happen today.

Notre Dame will NOT boycott the CFP if they are invited.

Bank on it.

I'm sure half-a-season OwhineO State would be glad to take their place--if they have a place.

If Kelly actually does that who do you think
will be ND's coach next year?

His but would be lynched immediately

I think that is a legitimate beef and an appropriate response. The darn mayor of NOLA is jacking around with the Sugar Bowl tix. Might only be 3000 available (that what someone said on another board, so no link).

link

It’s a legitimate beef, but a boycott is not realistic.***
