People will buy whatever junk they put out, so why waste time and money on doing something nice.

Had them popping off in bedrooms and living rooms. A few reported out of 10 or so 6 Packs.
I actually drank one and was not impressed. Rather flat after 10 short months.

Yes, just recently we figured out the old ones would leak. We went and checked, and sure enough, there was a mess. The bottles seem to be a lot better than the cans.

Drill a small pinhole in the bottom and drain it.

ALL cans leak eventually. All my 1981 cans leaked within a few years and the ones from 2016. Drilled the rest of them and they're fine.

it'll leak. I think I actually warned TNET about this in 2016. Go ahead and sue, why not? We need to feed more lawyers.

This RED can in nothing compared to the ORANGE can for the '81 championship that had a large #1 on it.

SPEECH! SPEECH! Oh wait, we already heard

the worst speech in the history mankind from the Coke Lady at the parade celebration. I am still dumb and dumbfounded at how she was the opening speech to our National Championship celebration. AND I agree with y'all, those cans are sad. Come on coke, do some real commemorative cans that are orange and purple with tiger paws and National Championship logos on them. This crap is lame. 15-0, mic drop, best ever!

Seriously, who at Coca Cola looked at the finished design

and said 'Yeah, this will work'?
First 15-0 team since Grover Cleveland was president, National Champs, destroyed #1 and #3, and I could go on. And this is the best Coke could do? With the money they generate? Unacceptable.

It's clearly a token effort on Coke's part. 2 years ago I

bought abt 3 cases worth and 1 or 2 cans leaked in abt 75% of the 6 packs. The cans are a typical stab at a quick buck to only be followed up by a bottle production...

So about 13.5 of your 72 cans.

I have a few from 1981 that have somehow evaporated

without any puncture marks. They're just never-opened empty cans now. How does that happen? I don't recall any spillage/mess over the years.
Note: this was orange soda, not Coca-cola. Maybe that made a difference. Plus they were made out of better quality (thicker) metal back then too.

I agree and after last year's discussion, I took mine and sealed it in plastic with a foodsaver. Still full and not rusting.

I had a six-pack of those and they were on the shelf above all my TAPS. One of the cans eventually began leaking and the soda went right for my 1982 TAPS and more or less ruined it.
