s scoring more points, no matter how you do it.
But seriously, what happens if they don't blitz?
Maybe they play coverage all night. What then?

Even better. Allows TL time to stay in the pocket and find Amari, Ladson or ETN. Or run the QB run option.

Go Tigers!

Good answer. Hopefully Clemson will find ways to move the ball through the air ,and on the ground.
Personally, however, I hope Trevor has a banner night picking their "D" apart with his passes. Would love to see him pad his numbers ,but as we probably both know, he needs to stay nearly interception free for the season if he is going to be on the stage in N.Y.

After last week, I'm not so sure.

ETN caught at least three passes in the flats on 3rd and long and converted them for a first down. The UVA defense didn't have anyone checking for him. The LB's just dropped so deep that ETN had 10+ yards between him and any defender when he caught the ball.

Manny Diaz is not an idiot. Just like Arkansas learned from watching LSU against MS ST, Diaz will figure out some scheme to cover ETN in the flats.

I think ETN will have a big game. Just not sure it will be a replay of last week.

That should make it pick your poison. If you have a linebacker spying ETN that is going to open up the middle of the field for Galloway or Rodgers. I would love to see some post routes that are being caught 12 yards downfield verse a swing pass caught behind the line of scrimmage.

A different way to think about that is, if Galloway catches the ball at 12 yards down field and ETN catches the ball at the LOS, who do you expect to get more yardage out of the play more often than not.

I typically trust ETN to get yards after the catch more so than Galloway. 12 guaranteed yards on 3rd and 10 is wonderful though and I would take it every time.

Amari is the wild card. We haven't seen him get the ball in space on a crossing route yet this year.

IMO Amari in open space starting 8 yards down the field is a VERY productive idea for our offense!

That's the beauty of having so many weapons.

Honestly I would love to see an 8 minute drive that is 14 plays split between runs and passes. Give the defense a good rest and just grind down Miami's defense.

In that last few years there have been times when the offense scores in 4 plays and it feels like the defense is constantly on the field. To me that was the greatest part of the blowout against Alabama, the last drive when they methodically walked the length of the field and ate up the 4th quarter clock. Not scoring at the end of the drive was the cherry on top, showing pity on Alabama.

I was about to respond with something similar.

If anything I think the response to having a guy "spy" ETN may give Trevor some 3rd down running lanes.

The easiest player to spy a RB or QB is the MLB. If the MLB leaves to chase the RB in the flats, it creates a huge divide in the middle of the field for the QB run. (See our defense vs UVA for proof).

We will still try to get ETN the ball in space (I hope), but Miami will certainly not let us do it in the same easy ways we did with UVA.

If I'm Manny Diaz, #9 is not going to beat me. Trevor may throw for 500yds, however i would make the WR's prove to me they can make the plays. Its definitely pick your poison, but shutting down #9 would be my top priority.

With ETNs ability to break tackles and slip through cracks in the defense, shutting down ETN for 4 quarters in much easier said than done!!!
