since when do you expect a 19 year old to be in high school? I was 17 when I started at Clemson. I guess that is normal for SC students.

I was too. I would bet that they held him back

That is a pretty common thing that parents do, strictly for the benefit of athletics. They either hold them back at the kindergarten stage, or they send them to private school to repeat a grade and then move them back to public.

He could well have then worked hard to get his classes in in summer school and/or taking a heavy HS load.

had to wait a yr to start school because of late birthday, held back in 7th grade, went to a private school to graduate........all of this to play for the coots
