At what age did you stop wishing you were older ? Just

listening to a tune on Soggy Dollar Radio and it got me thinking.


For me - I'd guess about 27 or 28.


Graduated, married, moved to FL, built a house - decent job. Nothing left that getting older would help to happen.

my parents trusted me enough that they never put a curfew on me, so I was good to go thereafter.

Drinking age never a big issue to me.

Several reasons but mostly I think I realized somewhere about this time that it was zooming past me and there was still a lot to see & do.

Exactly like the OP says. You got all that stuff. Then you realized it ain't all it's cut up to be. You learn education continues forever, and you didn't know ####. Marriage breaks down. Mortgage and taxes suck. And job pressure increases proportional to how well you do it, and how much you have accomplished.

I think there's another pivot point somewhere, where you're like well, I've done it. Sucks for these kids today. I'm out of the bidness now. Yall keep up the fight, I'm downsizing, retiring, and going fishing.
