Tony Elliot reminds me of a Rob Spence offense

I’m tired of all the screen passes reminds me so much of Rob spences style of play. Does anyone else see that besides me? We will go 10-1 on our talent along not our play calling.

Very difficult to call plays when the OL can't open any running lanes.

We have alot of success on the screen passes and use them bc we CANNOT run the ball effectively in between the tackles vs a team with some dudes up front...thats on our Oline coach moreso and really its been a problem for years. Thats why we get the finesse comments. Elliott did a good job and its always easy to second guess. Its not his fault ETN tossed the ball away or Rodgers fumbled on a first down catch.
Considering we couldnt run the ball, I give Elliott props for finding ways to move the chains with what we have...and we were down 2 OL at times and without or tall deep threats pretty much the entire game. Yes, we could have done better on that last possession in regulation but thats probably Dabo saying run the clock and make them use the timeouts. But again, he didnt scheme a hold, a complete wackjob by the refs on time or that his senior all american RB would make a freshman mistake.
Our offense didnt lose the game, fuss at Venables...if Elliott is Spence then call BV Vic Koenning.
Btw, Elliott is a 2 time national championship offensive cooridnator....lets not forget that.

I would argue that Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot combo. was better then just Elliot now solo Elliot hasn’t won a national championship yet I’m hoping he will though soon.

You obviously don’t remember Rob Spence very well

Elliott had issue with #4 rated team with an OL with issues
Spence had issue with an unranked WF team

Its not TE. That last drive when we could've iced the game has Dabo written on it. He called too well of a game to just go dumb in that position.
I'm fairly hard on TE , but he learns from his mistakes.
Dabo knows that he has a mulligan.
