Harder to breathe. Mimicking being out of breath on the field. Really not a bad idea once you're in really good shape, which he probably is from what I've seen.

build endurance and lung capacity. Obviously you never had one on. Wish the O-Line would copy his workout.

Obviously the stairs are too easy for him. He needs something to make it more challenging. Would be awesome to see the entire team wearing this. Cutting edge stuff.

I couldn't quite say, but I'd imagine that it makes it a heck of a lot more difficult to breathe, especially in this heat. It looks BA...kind of like the Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum. Kudos to him for working hard. I'm proud to have him as a part of the Clemson family, I think he is going to have a major impact on this team in one way or another.

For anyone who has spent anytime in the military and worn a gas mask you know how difficult this is. Just doing everyday tasks is 10 times more difficult - much less running stadium stairs in the heat. Studly

Anyone running the stairs in one of those things is making a statement to how easy the stairs are for them.
Even if the man never sees the field his work ethic and dedication should have a major impact on the team.

was at Clemson 84-88 and my roommate was a wrestler and is still one of my best friends. I knew all our guys pretty well. Vision Quest was a cult movie for those guys and Matthew Modine is one of my favorite actors.
The average student and person thinks football players are wild or crazy. I can tell you first hand, compared to our wrestlers and soccer players in the 80s, football players were choir boys.

I've done some running in a gas mask before. It sucks....real, real bad. It's hotter than #### and really hard to breathe.

Old conditioning method

In mma and wrestling they have been doing this for a longtime. Most of the time they use a snorkle that is almost taped closed. And doing their workouts with it on. It makes the body get use to having limited oxygen when the body is exhausted. Therefore, you can go twice as long when you have full lung capacity without fatigue. The whole team should workout like mma fighters.
