Flat screen on a budget

I'm past due for an upgrade to the tv so I can enjoy my Tiger football games. Where is the best place to buy flat screens? I've looked at Best Buy and Walmart but is there anywhere else better?

I second Costco.
Bought a 40" 4k Samsung (bedroom) for $329 last week. Great picture.
Also, they are clearing our last years Samsumg models (UN8000) I think. The Spartanburg Costco has the 55 inch Samsung 4k for $979. Great TV with great review.
Plus Costco adds a second year or warranty and a 90 day return

I bought my last 2 from Costco too. They usually have some pretty nice pricing compared to Best Buy etc.
If you are looking for one really cheap the estate auction or craiglist will probably be the least expensive route.

Go to Amazon Warehouse Deals. Usually very good prices on a higher end TV that somebody returned to Amazon for some reason. I've bought two Sony's like that and they are great tv's.
It may come repackaged or the box might be messed up, but the TV is perfect. At least in my experience. This way you can get a higher quality TV at a Lower price. And/or they will have last years models for sale cheap. Best Buy will typically be pushing the latest and greatest which is overkill in most cases. Plus if you don't like it Amazon will usually take anything back. Just make sure the Seller is Amazon Warehouse Deals and not some spare 3rd party dealer.

Find the TV you want from BB, ask them to find an open box at local stores.
You will save a lot of dough. Bought a top of line Samsung a few years ago and saved $400 or so.

SEIKI....... got a 50" and a 60". The 60 is a smart tv. I absolutely love em. The sound is not very good, but hey.....we don't get TVs for sound. I have a sound on each. Caught the 60 on sale at hh Gregg for less than $500.

I have a Samsung 32" from several years ago and the picture quality was amazing.
I would have stayed with Samsung on my upgrade, but got a great deal on 55" Vizio 4K smart TV for $700 (marked down from 1,200). Yes, it was brand new.

It's a great time to buy since even the 4K tv's are MUCH cheaper than a year ago. Last black friday I got my dad a 40" vizio 4K smart for like $350. Got it off Amazon from a BBuy account I think.
My 1080p 50" Sharp is a few years old but going strong. Got it from BBuy

Try to find a "Hisense"
May 8, 2017, 6:56 PM

I've had Samsung and have 2 Vizios.
But in the bedroom I bought an inexpensive ($400) 55" that I swear the picture quality is far, far better than the others.
I can't recommend Hisense enough. Beautiful picture.

Costco or Amazon. Amazon used to be a little cheaper because of the no sales tax but I think they collect it now making Costco the best bet.

Check both to see who has the better deal on a given screen. Keep in mind that you'll pay sales tax if you get it from Amazon.

We have a 55" Seiki smart TV that we got really cheap from HH Gregg. My current favorite though is the 55" TCL we got from Amazon. It has Roku built-in. Both are 4K are were under $500.
