Not on the ledge. Just open for discussion.

I agree. What is there in what we have done to date that provides any confidence that we beat Louisville or the road? FSU at home? UNC at home? Syrcause at home? Pitt on the road? That is most likely 3, possibly 5 losses right there. You are what your record and your history say you are. A team that does not know how to win a tough tight game and makes critical errors, sometimes commission and sometimes omission, as if they full expect something to go wrong. The mindset has to change in the players and the fans and the coaches and the admin and the BOT or we will be saying the same thing here 5 years from now, the same as for the last 50 years. This is the revenge of the college sports gods for being great in football, perhaps. But there is no good reason we cannot have a good BB program here and no reason we should continue to accept what has happened the last 50 years.

To a 2-9 bottom feeder...

Spin it any way you want, but this was a BAD LOSS that likely causes irreparable damage to the Tournament resume.

Clemson now has no room for error against some of the leagues top opponents (i.e. Louisville, Florida State, Cuse, and UNC). You have to win at least two of those and then hold serve against Notre Dame, BC and Pitt.

In other words, win five of the last seven games.

In addition to that, I think it would require one to two wins in the ACC Tournament. The loss tonight dug a big hole in which they may not be able to crawl out.

5 of 7 is not happening. What in our resume shows we are even capable of that? Nothing.

Normally coaches that really know what they are doing and are not hamstrung by lack of support or lack of funds for recruiting or lack of funds for assistant coaches prove their worth in about year 3. We are WAY beyond that. BB is a good guy and knows supposedly a lot of Xs and Os but it takes a lot more than that. I have been seeing this same old thing for the better part of 50 years and am sick to death of it. It cannot be fixed without a revolution, which includes the fans and the BOT and the AD. We have to demand better and not continue to accept being up and down. It looks like, 9 years in, that BB is pretty much the typical Clemson coach in basketball when you look at record. And as they say, you are what your record says you are. He has not shown he can recruit. Has shown he can get a few decent transfers to come in. That's good but you cannot live on that. What is there to say to a top notch recruit that he should come play for BB? A string of close unbelievable losses? He cannot use facilities as an excuse any more. And as fans we cannot use the excuse of history any more. Is there an up and coming coach we can get with our history? Who knows. But we should know what we will get the next 5 years if we stay the course now. It will be pretty much exactly the same as the last 5 years and the 5 before that. Maybe 1 trip to the NCAA, maybe 2 ACC tourney wins. I for one have had more than enough of that. Football is often pointed to as the example. There, every successful coach we have had was a graduate of a football school and either won a national championship or competed at the highest level and knew or know what winning and excelling looks like. BB is a nice guy but I just don't think he has the pedigree needed for rising above our past in the ACC. Maybe the solution is to move to the SEC. We would be much more competitive there in basketball and would hold our own in football. End of rant.

Definitely wait until after next year. We have a nice recruiting class coming in that we would lose. Also, let's see who he has committed in the following class. We might be really good in a couple of years.
