church...Chapin United Methodist...pastor is Jody Flowers who was a GA on Danny's staff during that time period...Jody coached him and now he'll conduct his funeral service...Sat afternoon but not sure of the time...Mark committed suicide Thur night...I remember his recruitment...he and his mother visited the coots for the So Cal game...the fans were so nasty, vulgar and ugly she said there's no way her son was going to that school...he came to Clemson and was a very good D lineman

Mark passed away on Tuesday, not Thursday - let's leave it at that.

He was coaching Chapin Middle School Football after 9 years + of coaching Chapin High School ball so that he had more time for family. His daytime job was teaching in Lexington.

Tragic doesn't begin to describe this whole situation. The his step-daughter, his boys, the entire town of Chapin is in mourning.

Mark was legendary and bigger than life.

He will be terribly missed....

Very sad news. Prayers for the family.***
