Dinner plan tonight

Usually I roast a chicken on sundays, going to switch it up today. Got some chicken pieces marinating in buttermilk, going to fry them up and top with a honey hot sauce, served over hoppin John & collards.

my 80 yo mom. I was repaid with a Ribeye, sweet potato, cabbage and rice (no idea where the combination came from, but mama just had a 'taste' for some cabbage). Plus we had pound cake for dessert.
Anyway, it's the first time in a long time that mom has offered to cook and I gratefully sat down and ate it all. I think that made her more happy than me setting up her Roku tv and getting her printer connected.
