Clemson’s getting a Clemson kid

ESPN announcers blown away about how KJ Henry handled his announcement. They loved his inclusion of his high school assistant coach Pat Murphy in making the announcement (I did too...total class move). They commented how so many kids play the hat shuffle game and it is a “me, me” moment. His demeanor and obvious love for his family the right kind of player for our culture and program. This is such a proud statement about our school and coaching staff.

I had the pleasure of meeting his father a few years ago in Clemson and it's easy to see where it comes from. He was bragging on KJ (they were in town on a visit) to which I ignored since every parent in the country has a kid that's a future college star and NFL draft pick. When I walked away I googled KJ Henry and he was just a sophomore but his dad wasn't lying at all. If anything he undersold KJ's ability.
