...That the SEC is a tougher conference? ACC 0, SEC 4 today and they weren't all close ones either. If I'm Maryland and I want to improve my football program, I'd leave the ACC too. There is more money in B10 and it is simply a tougher conference to play in.

Being in the SEC would not have changed tonight's performance, we would probably have two more losses is all.

O&P, agree that conference affiliation is no excuse. Further, I think you nailed it...in the SEC, we'd be 8-4 or worse.

...did you even think before that you typed that post? Yes, they hung 70 on us, then went to an even more difficult conference and are now struggling.
