Vermont can get pretty chilly.
I live a good distance from Vermont (in Western New York).
Winters can be tough here (not -20 tough, but tough).
Mid May to mid October is just about weather perfection. Summers are warm during the day, no humidity at all and cool at night. Our house does not have a/c.

Back in 1984 I was working in Cannan Valley WVA. There was this creek with small colorful native brook trout behind our house. I took a coat hanger and an onion bag and made a little net and caught a couple for fun and to check them out closer before returning them carefully back to their home. Some small things in life turn into good memories.

Quite a beautiful salmonoid! Love taking my six pc 2 weight blue lining small streams like this. Few things better in life.
