Former Clemson defensive lineman
Brentson Buckner is the new defensive line coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Buckner coached the defensive line of the Arizona Cardinals the last five years as they were a solid group with 203 total sacks during that span. His other coaching experience included three years as a coaching intern with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was the head coach of the Northside Christian Academy in Charlotte, N.C. for a season. Besides coaching, it appears that he has a passion for dancing (or House of Pain's 'Jump Around') as showcased during Wednesday's practice session. Buckner was a second-round draft pick out of Clemson in the 1994 NFL Draft and played 12 seasons in the NFL with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, San Francisco, and Carolina. He accumulated 324 tackles, 31 sacks, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries during his standout pro career.
During his time at Clemson, he was a first-team All-ACC selection his senior year and is fourth all-time in school history with 46 tackles for loss.
