With college becoming pro-lite, why wouldnt players stay longer

Past 4 years? Why wouldn’t they change that rule and make college minor league for the NFL. So if a player can’t make it in the NFL and/or don’t like their draft grade why wouldbt they “lobby” to stay and get another degree or as many degrees as they want? As long as they are enrolled they can stay? Thoughts? NCAA is just about obsolete.
