Head hunters poach people all the time in business.
If anything, I would think you would sue the player if he broke a contract.

It is in the NFL. Which is the model CFB needs to go to. Contracts no tampering etc.

Tampering will basically be fully allowed and no rules on transfers.

That's exactly right. All universities should be on Wisconsin's side

All universities should support Wisconsin with the resources to win. Should they lose, it's game over for tampering prevention and portal rules. It will make a chaotic situation shockingly even worse.

Been saying this all along - if name is not in the portal listing, no contact or offers should be allowed.

Absolutely! College athletics used to serve as an all expenses paid internship where student athletes could grow, mature, learn from next-level coaching, learn how to live independently, learn how to manage finances, & fully prepare for their professional careers for 3-4 years, & everything that entails BEFORE having to fully live up to, comply with, or be subject to strict professional rules or penalties. I would've loved to have had that type of internship including top-notch medical care as a 17-18 yr. old coming out of H.S. & would've considered that very good compensation for 3-4 yrs. until I turned "Pro". However, now that these kids are being paid professional salaries, & the universities are being forced to pay them as such, they have to abide by professional guidelines, contracts, breach-of-contract rules, & YES non-compete clauses! That's why, in the NFL or other pro leagues, after a player gets cut unexpectedly, or traded unexpectedly, or loses a coach unexpectedly, etc., you always hear something to the effect of: "...well, I don't understand it or like it, but I know it's just business & that's how business is done. It's not personal.." That is what we are expecting these kids to understand now & what they should understand now that this type of money is involved. They & the university are under contract & in the REAL world, the PROFESSIONAL world, there are consequences & expectations that come along with all of that money!! In a way, we have removed all of the "wiggle room" that a young adult athlete used to have to make a mistake or two, & figure out how professional life works before they are fully embroiled in it at a more mature age.
