She was on a patient visit last week, guy is a paraplegic. Had a sore at the base of his spine that everyone knew about (including him) but when she saw him he was complaining of not feeling well and the sore had gotten extremely inflamed, red, sore. She sent him to the hospital. He didn't want to go because he recently had a 100 day hospital stay. He took her advice and went, turns out he was septic. Doing good now!

Also, when having a home health nurse, make sure family members don't screw you over. She had a patient's son go off on her a while back.

Instant discharge of the patient from corporate.

Sorry for the mom but son of can't be a #### and expect nurses to keep coming

pain in the ass. Pebble Boy's wife was terrible, constant turnover of nurses because she was so difficult to deal with. She friend requested my wife on facebook and messaged her on Messenger trying to get my wife to come back on a private pay deal. Uhhhh, no thanks psycho.

I have the opposite problem. Nurses hate my mom but like me.

I have to constantly talk them down, explain she's "just like that", to ignore her, don't take it personally, etc.

I have the utmost respect for homecare nurses. And those in dementia facilities. What they deal with on a daily basis has to be horrendous.
