Agree with you here. CBS comes close but they are limited to the SEC and their announcers do nothing but fellate Alabama during broadcasts. Fox had a golden opportunity to seize a chunk of the market but they have continuously put out a mediocre product. They're new to college football but their graphics still rely on that stupid Cletus Robot that they've used for NFL games since the mid-90s rather than attempt a new & unique brand for their college football programming. They're a lazy organization overall, which is evidenced by FS1 simply copying everything ESPN does...I guess it goes well with them being based in LA. Lots of flash, short on original ideas.

Ummmm...because they pay for it? Also, FOX, CBS, NBC, and others have a hand in college football, so it’s not a monopoly.

Well, the simple answer is because they paid for it.

They have games spread across several channels.
Their “competition” is CBS, the SEC homer network, and NBC, the Notre Dame homer network.
Honestly, ESPN/ABC does a great job with their coverage. Of course they aren’t perfect and they can be biased, but we are literally in the best era of college football ever. Top notch athletes, great facilities, playoffs, and every game on TV.
When put in perspective, it really is pretty stupid to complain about ESPN like a lot of people do.
