Why didnt Shipley get an NIL deal for his senior year?

He did make it in the pros, but he’s had 20 carries for 50 yards this year. To be able to compete for national championships, a college team needs to have at least two, maybe three NIL contract running backs who are upper echelon for the college game.

Unless someone is a first round draft pick, the college money should be better than the pro money at least for one year

It’s just a business so whatever emotional disagreements may or may not exist, we would have been better off having Shipley and Mafah as running back options this year

I think the couple of injuries Shipley had played into his decision to turn pro. RB is a position that takes a lot of hits and susceptible to injury. Look at Mafah.
