I also seem to recall there being an issue with the field when they last had a playoff game there. Probably cheaper long term to go with turf.

Not a big deal, but it isn't astroturf. It's field turf. Trust me, I played on both, and they aren't even close to the same. Field turf is about 80-90% like playing on grass. Astroturf is like playing football on Burberry carpet. It suuuuuuucks. In fact, the first time I played on astroturf our all American safety compound fractured his lower leg right on the sideline. I mean knee straight and foot turned sideways.
