What do you think our record would be this year if we were in the SEC?

I keep seeing posts about how awful the ACC is and how we are doing well because the ACC is down. That begs the question: how would we be doing right now if we were in the SEC?
We are currently 12-2 in the ACC. I think 3-4 losses in SEC play at this point would be a reasonable prediction. Five losses at this point would be worst-case scenario.
That would put us somewhere in the range of 3rd to 7th in the current SEC standings.
What do you think?

ACC is down but Clemson is doing well because Clemson is a good team. In the only head to head games Clemson is 1-1. UK is 5-5 in the SEC and South Carolina is 0-10. So, who knows but the SEC is loaded.

yeppers, we beat a middle of the pack esecpn team and lost to their bottom feeder. No telling what our record would be.

We would be 11-1. With our only lose to a terrible SC team that played above there heads in a rival game.

where the team pi$$es away a game they absolutely should not lose. So far this year, those games have been against South Carolina and Georgia Tech. Hopefully those will be the only two.

Some of this would depend on individual matchups with other teams and do our strengths play to other teams weaknesses and vice versa.
Over the course of a season, I think we probably wind up in the upper half of the SEC

Where does Brad’s salary rank among SEC coaches? And how does Littlejohn stack up to the SEC basketball venues? I keep seeing posts about how a team is underachieving if they don’t finish every year ranked as high as the coach’s salary and facilities and support rank. Sounds like that’s all we need to know to make this meaningless, hypothetical judgement.

Record is tough to predict because in a season of 30+ games teams are bound to have off nights.
I think we'd definitely be upper half, probably close to upper 3rd. I think we'd be behind Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Tenn and maybe in a battle with A&M & Kentucky for that 5th-7th spot
I don't think there is any question the ACC has taken pretty big steps backwards over the last several years which has helped give us the shot we have in front of us, a run at the regular season title and a real legit threat in the ACCT

Per KenPom we would be the 9th best team in the league - narrowly behind Kentucky and Missouri. Auburn, Tenn, and Florida are all around the level of Duke and Bama is just behind that.

Above 1/2 imo. Lot of tough teams over there this year. Don’t won’t any part of Bama, Florida, Auburn or Tennessee on most nights. Just 4 I have seen that seem pretty dang strong.

I think we would be near the top. Maybe 1 or 2 more Ls then we have now. We have proven we are legit. We can beat any team on any given night. We would be favored over most sec teams except maybe Florida, Tennesse, and Auburn.

This is overall record, not conference. We lost to their only team under .500. They have 9 teams in top 25, we have 2. I have no clue how we would do in the SEC but you have to admit the ACC is down and not what is used to be. Are we benefiting from the ACC being down? I guess we’ll find out in March

You rate Clemson by polls because they are proven wrong every year. You rate Clemson by the conference they play in. I believe Dabo won two National Titles from a weak ACC Football conference.

Because of the number of teams in the conference, schedules are all over the place. My guess would be we would between .500 to .600 in the SEC.
