That is real close to a Cross Fox colored Red Fox. It is obviously summer coat and would have been much prettier in the winter. I was ice fishing for Lake Trout in AK a few yrs back. It was nice day probably 10degrees and sunny, I was sitting at my ice hole, had a portable burner where I was warming up a canned ham for some lunch. Doing my thing, cooking, fishing and enjoying the scenery, I turned around and there was a gorgeous Cross Fox standing about 8ft away. Made me jump pretty good as I never heard it walk up to me on the snow and I was probably half mile from shore. I could see the fox's path where he had followed his nose across the lake smelling cooking ham looking for goodies. I threw it a couple herring I was using for bait, he scarfed them down then decided just to hang out for couple hrs. Pretty fun interaction, gorgeous male in full winter coat, first one I remembered seeing.

If you don't know what they look like just Google a few pics. They actually have cross that runs across their shoulders and down their back. I have pics somewhere.

That thing looks like it has rabies just starting to cook inside itself.

Or....

That thing came from a small college somewhere in New Mexico.....and looking for a transfer landing spot out of the portal.

Thanks for sharing. I live on a farm too and see all kinds of weird stuff, especially on fenced pastures. Go tigers.

Haven't seen a single one in about a decade... I think the coyotes may have gotten all of them. Definitely a bad trade off...

Gray fox. They have gray backs and sides and the rest is reddish. A red fox is predominately red all over.

I’m thinking a silver tailed fox.

I think it's a cross between a red and gray fox. Note the black legs and red face that are normally on a red fox and the gray sides and tail that are normally on a gray fox.

A cross fox usually has a gray face.
