Virginia tech parking

Going to va tech this year. Parking passes on the ticket websites start around $100 right now. Does anyone have suggestions for parking? What’s the risk of waiting until game day and trying to find a spot?

No risk… we parked near an apartment complex for $25 and walked a trail through the woods.

We paid the ridiculous price for a pass up close. I didn't want to hike across town. Who the heck knows what time we will be playing. Besides, I'm old and will be exhausted climbing to the top of Section 235!
