I believe we will find out soon(at season end) that she's been injured all season. I have no inside info, just the only logical explanation I can come up with.

yep she was out with the concussion thing but I agree. She has not been the player she was. Probably injured most of the season. Still one of my favorite players and always will be one of them

the softball team had some lofty expectations to begin the year...but the nasty injury bug struck our 2 best players. Hard to win that way.

Also, I think Valerie was fatigued to start the season because she has played through nagging injuries since her freshman year.

Great player, minus the injuries she may have been an all time great softball player. One of the best pitchers and one of the best hitters in the game in 2022 and 2023!!!

She's an amazing player and we'll miss her next year. Players like VC are rare. I will miss seeing her in the circle or at the plate.

Val was the reason I cared about softball

had always watched the post-season softball but never paid attention to it. Val helped me become a softball fan because she played so hard and gave it all she had. She will be missed for sure!

Maybe she can pull of some heroics and put this team on her back one more time
