would be a gross understatement.
I've not seem a Braves bullpen this bad in over 50 years and that was back in the day when the Braves would be 20-games out of first place just 30-games into the season.

Did you watch the series? The Reds offense is bottom 10, but they have a LEGIT rotation, and roll out flamethrowers from the pen with sub 3 ERA’s.
Besides Montero last night and Holmes giving up 4 early runs on Wednesday, the Braves pitched well too.
The Braves problem right now is offense. I’m not a fan at all of Tim Heyers, the new hitting coach. I think when Acuna comes back, the offense will eventually be dangerous again. Olson, Ozzie, and Harris have to get going. Harris and Olson don’t concern me as much as Albies, his bat speed is down and he hasn’t exactly ever had great ABs.
I looked at the standing of this time roughly in the 22 season and they were a game under and 6 back of the Mets. Just like this year. They always start slow most years.
And man, Drake Baldwin looks like the real deal. His at bats are very impressive. Love that kid.

Let's hope they can get the W in the B10th and carry it to Pittsburgh for a 3 game weekend series,where the Pirates are 12-26 overall

It’s not so much the bull pen, it is Inglesis. He has pitched 14 innings and has given up 6 home runs. His ERA is 5.40 and that is pretty high for a closer. I saw on one of the networks that the Braves bull pen has the lowest ERA in MLB. It’s time to find another closer.

Yep. Iggy has been tattooed so far. He is 35 and the possibility that he’s washed is very real. I hope that’s not the case and he gets it together soon..

They have Craig Kimbrel down in Gwinnett. Went to watch last week. He got the save but was only hitting 91-92 on the fastball. Don't know if he's protecting the arm or if that's the new norm. I suspect they'll call him up eventually and let him retire with the big club.
