Clemson is not the place for players that do not want to work hard in the classroom to graduate.
Kids looking for a semi-pro type of program do not want to come to Clemson.
They are content going elsewhere and creating off-field problems.

NIL and the portal are a way of life in college football, that does not include academics or graduation.

Looks like the young man made the right decision for his goals, good luck.

Go Tigers!

And don’t waste anybody’s time. Good on ya, dude! As long as you don’t become a coot, I have no hard feelings.

I dont have a problem with this. He could have taken his official visit here just to have a good time and string it along while knowing he has already made up his mind to go elsewhere. Seems like the standup thing to do on his part to cancel if he already made his decision.

"Please respect my decision." Does he think we're going to beg him or something? I'm sure we're better off without him. Makes me wonder if the UGA "recruiting staffers" have gotten involved.

Yeah, they say it a lot nowadays. But respect is earned.

Lot of young athletes now are more like, ‘I’m not following through with my commitment. Respect my decision that I took you for a ride and am not going to do what I said I would do.’

But regarding this guy, good on him for not wasting people’s time when he knows he’s not interested. Well done.

It may be that the higher ranked back that is coming will be a tiger.

At least that's what I'll tell myself

I could be totally wrong but he is from same HS as Air Noland. Noland got $3million from sc so I am wondering if Baker is going in that direction.

"Please respect my decision." Why does that seem like a relevant statement to his moochers for him to have said? Do they think it makes him seem thoughtful and or altruistic?

To me, it comes across as entitled and maybe arrogant. Many children have decided not to come to Clemson. That's all fine. We want the kids that want to be there ultimately. Not the ones looking for the greatest personal payout so no offense to this kid, but he's not special enough to elicit any reaction from 99.9% of Clemson nation. I'm sure you'll be great and all or on the bench to transfer 5 times, but either way. We'll be just fine, son.

By the time I finished typing this I have already forgotten his name. 😎

Just as he felt he didn't owe Clemson anything, I feel the same about him, I don't owe him a thing, especially respect bc that has to be earned!!!

Jawja really wants a running back, they get him. Or, at the very least, they keep US from getting him. Good luck in LegHumperLand, young man.

You have to reach a certain level of interest or concern to “respect” or not respect someone’s decision. I am not at this level with him but thanks for the myopic PSA
