I have never had a bad word for Clawson. He is a classy guy, even in a beat down. I could see someone like Florida, Mich St, Coots, Miss st, etc try to steal Clawson. I think he could have reasonable success at a football school.

I was just about to say that same thing. Very surprised someone hasn’t snatched Clawson away. He’s made Wake competitive more often than not with far less then most programs have to work with.

Thats a very good point. I actually hope he gets a better opportunity somewhere he can succeed, and I believe he would. He's always been a class act has great humility. He's had wake punch way above their weight class with 2 star players.

Maybe Clawson isn’t motivated by the superficial things that all of you are promoting. Maybe he enjoys recruiting good young men and turning them into great young men, while providing them I great education. Not everything is about wins and losses and how much money you make. I’m positive he could have landed another higher paying job by now if that’s what he really wanted. I’m glad he’s obviously happy where he is.

Not a person in coaching, regardless of the sport, is motivated to be mediocre. Money may not be important to some but winning is important to all.

I'll put it like this, if a university is going to spend tons of money to sponsor any type of athletic program, if they don't make it about wins and losses, they're only throwing good money after waisted money if they are OK with losing!!!
