Whatever it takes to see the Tigers get back Omaha because it's been soooo fricking hard to watch it not happen for 15 straight seasons now. It's been tough watching teams like Coastal Carolina(National Champions in 2016),Virginia(National Champions in 2015),N.C.State who has made just 4 appearances in their history(1968 then making the CWS in 2013,2021 and 2024),then North Carolina(2011,2013,2018 and 2024) with a great chance on Saturday to make it 13 appearance and thus move past the Tigers 12 all time appearances, even Duke is on the brink of getting back to the CWS for the first time since 1961.This 15 season streak should never be happening to Clemson Baseball,PERIOD

Pitching pitching pitching. Just keep landing pitchers. Even last years offense as bad as it was still got us 45 wins and a regional host. If we can just get a good pitching staff finally we will do something. Even if Bakich doesn’t figure out how to manage pitchers in big moments. If we have multiple big arms they can make him look good

I just hope Wideman doesn’t get picked too high in the draft, I’d feel much better about next year if he joins the team.

Gaffney will be ok. He was still young and finished the season injured. He’ll be fine.

Looking at his stats, he was 0-10 against ACC pitching, 1/2 being strikeouts.
ACC (2 games against wake, 1 game against Duke: 0-10 w/ half being strikeouts
Coastal (3 games) : 2-11 few strikeouts, no RBIs, couple runs
Not saying he won’t be a good one, but no reason to believe he will till it happens based off of 2025. Bakich obviously saw something in him beyond like opponents with the tigers.

His defense looks to be similar to Ciufo, at least errors and assists wise, putouts aren’t really player based so I don’t think that’s anything to fret over.
I think offensively if he can equal the production of Paino/Ciufo, then that’s a success. Making the jump isn’t the easiest, so if he can be even close to average, they’ll have something to build on.
He’s going to have to be more selective, low walk rates and low strikeout rates might be fine in the Sun Belt, but with better pitching in the ACC that strategy might not work.
