I have to admit that I was so ready for yesterday's game to be over. I was just about there in going ahead and just let Pitt win the thing. We were losing players.....the offense barely moved an inch in the second half ....and don't even get me started on the officiating crew. I just wanted us out of there.
Fortunately we were able to MacGyver something up and got the win.
I mentioned in a post a few days ago that I wanted us to drag Pitt's Panther carcass over one of those bridges going across the river up there and give out a victory roar. Well in this case and after the exhausting mess.....we can let out a victory Moan.....on the plane.
Roar/Moan for TJ Parker......If he wasn't being held...he definitely made his presence known. The hits he was able to put on Pitt's quarterback ....I didn't believe the quarterback was going to be able to continue in that second half. I just knew something on the quarterback's body was going to go numb.
Roar/Moan for Antonio Williams........this guy has suffered enough in this offense. He was though clutch by giving us 2 touchdown catches. Take the guy to the Porsche dealership.
Speaking of clutch....Nolan Hauser deserves a Roar....Yeah a Roar.........To make a field goal at that distance to strengthen our lead before halftime in that hostile environment can't do anything but help that young kid's confidence.
It looked like Cade Klubnik actually had decided to get fed up and have a Trevor Lawrence against Ohio State moment with that big run for the touchdown that would be able to give us the lead for good. Cade gets a Big Roar!!!!!
I'm sure our second half O was not playing it "not to lose" but it sure felt that way. I was great;y pleased that didn't bite us because it felt like it was going to
We 100 throttled back the play calling in 2H. Thankfully, we were able to restart the engine on that last drive. I really think we need to run HUNH the whole game as it appears to suit Cade.
