Yeah, Lucas was never going to play because he is in The Masters. Jacob is not. His owgr is 68 and without winning, he could have made it if he had been in the top 50 owgr. A good tournament last week and this week, he'd may have made it... without a W. He was originally scheduled to play but dropped out after the deadline. I'm hoping he was just tired or busy. And not something like injury.
Hopefully he's playing in the heritage. He's currently ranked 8th in the A10, schema will have to explain. Hopefully he has more info. I was disappointed to see he wasn't playing.
I'm pretty sure the winner gets in The Masters if not already in, so I would think that'd be a priority.

Thank you, clemgal, for staying on top of this. I was just checking to see Jacob’s tee time and noticed he was no longer in the field. Hate that because I would love to see him in Augusta.

Here is the description of the Aon Next 10.
"The top 10 players in the current FedExCup standings that did not finish in the top 50 in the previous season’s FedExCup standings, through the tournament leading up to the next Signature Event."
Jacob could remain in the Top 10 for the Aon Next 10, but it really depends on if anyone passes him this week. Right now, he is projected at 11, so just outside the cut. However, that target will keep moving and won't be finalized until the Texas Open has concluded.
If he falls out of the Aon Next 10, he still has a chance at the Aon Swing 5. Here is that definition.
"The top five players, not exempt via a higher category, who accumulate the most FedExCup points during the tournaments between Signature Events."
For the RBC Heritage, that would include the Puerto Rico Open, Valspar Championship, Texas Children’s Houston Open and Valero Texas Open.
Right now, Jacob is projected fourth out of the five that would earn a spot, but just like above, it won't be finalized until after this week.

Thanks a ton. All I could find was he pulled out of Texas for "undisclosed " reason. Fingers crossed that he'll make hilton head. If not, he will have had a month off.
Based on the wonderful information you provided, sounds like he would, or could have helped himself out by playing Valero this week.
I just hope it's by choice and not injury related.
Carson with the nice bunker shot and birdie on 11 to go to -4. Really nice round going. Ben with two birdies on the back 9 to get him to -1. Keep it going guys.

Alice fired a solid 4 Under Opening Round . . . Currently good for a T-6th Place.
Alexandra is at Even Par through 13 Holes (T-58) when rains halted play.
KORN FERRY TOUR (4)
In Savannah, GA . . .
Billy Kennerly slipped a bit towards the end, but still managed a solid 3 Under Round . . . Good for a current T-7th Place.
Bryson Nimmer shook of his early struggles and has rallied to a respectable round, currently -2 through 16 Holes (T-26th).
Matt Atkins (USC/Aiken) is just getting started.

Yeah, the -4 for Alice seems to be holding well. Good to see Bryson and Billy end up -3. Should be in great position with another good round tomorrow. Matt just can't get anything going.
