I'll be the first to say he wasn't my first choice, but after taking a step back his hire makes perfect sense. A) his scheme matches with the roster we currently have and are currently recruiting for, other top candidates preferred different schemes B) his comments of not looking for another head coaching gig give longterm stability, other candidates didn't offer. I'm excited to see how he puts his stamp on next year's defense and fingers crossed it's a more attacking and successful defense than we've seen the last few years.
