The Power 4 Conferences Head-to-Head:

This link is a good reference.

I think the main story this year is that all of the conferences are reasonably even in head-to-head, except for the SEC vs the ACC. Outside of that, no one is dominating anyone else. We're just having a bad year in general against the SEC.
Against the B1G & B12, we're 6-7. We're 3-10 against the SEC.
The SEC is only 7-5 against the B1G & B12, and as I type this, Bama is down 19-10 to Michigan in the 4th quarter.

GaTech should have won vs UGA.

Yeah, but we're 0-3 against the sec. So far the acc is 1-9 in bowl games.. and that's bowl games against mediocre or group of 5 teams. The acc stinks. No way to really spin it.

The bowl games are heavily influenced by who is sitting out

(Other than playoff games of course). I guess most of the SEC teams are paying bonuses to their guys to stick around as it seems that their guys are playing. Meanwhile, the ACC has had Cam bail, guys at Pitt and Cal that would have started/played instead of their 4th string guys. I believe BCs while OL sat out(TP) in addition to QB leaving near ends UNC heavily effected but they are probably not at good as UCONN anyway. Michigan and OU are the only teams in the B1G or SEC I’ve noticed that had a bunch of stars, starters sit and Michigan still beat Bama. WSU was also heavily impacted so that game with Cuse would have probably been closer. The ACC needs to evaluate why and how the guys on these other teams are sticking around to play.

You can't look at the Bowl Games....too many transfers. The transfer rules need to be changed so that players can't transfer until end of CFP; they also need to address players commitments. If a player commits they shouldn't be allowed to transfer unless there is a coaching change or medical issue or the like.

We'll see how the CFP plays out. But here we are, where the ACC is 7-7 against the B1G & B12, and the SEC is only 8-7 against those same two conferences. Congrats to Louisville for getting us that coveted 2nd conference win in bowls. ">
My prediction (worth what it's taking me to type this): UGA beats ND. Texas beats ASU. Oregon beats OSU again.
This will set up 2 semifinal games that are SEC vs B1G.

And with all the bowl shenanigans these days impacting teams differently the regular season results should be given more weight than bowl results, excepting playoff games of course where all teams appeared to be at more or less full strength.
