Oops, meant to add, this has been my argument for the portal all along. It's no different than a sc state player going to the NFL. There are some really good diamonds in the portal. Forget what they're ranked, but look at the smaller schools... there's a couple of kids on south Dakota and north Dakota st who can flat out ball.

I've always said, a kid like Tristan is two fold. First he's dedicated and loves Clemson. 2nd, unlike some 5* that may feel entitled, this guy feels like he won the lottery and he'll give that little extra because he doesn't want to blow his opportunity. Jmho
