That NCST batter did what he had to do. He put the ball in play & didn’t swing like he was tying to hit the ball 450 feet. He knew he only needed a fly ball. If that had been Clemson in the same position it’s more than likely the Clemson hitter would have struck out. Because that’s exactly what has been happening all weekend.

You are not wrong. Exactly the same approach as the Yankees. Everyone wants to be Aaron Judge, and of course, they aren't. Therefore, terrible batting averages, a lot of strikeouts and runners left on base. There are plenty of home runs, but mostly with no one on. A very dull approach to the game. It may lead to a very good team, but never championship caliber.

We didn’t get runners home, even in scoring position with 1 or 2 outs. Couldn’t get State off the bases with 2 outs. Big difference in this series.
