It's an interesting situation. On paper, they seem to have a deep stable of arms, and most of their numbers look good. But it's clear they really trust Kavan a lot more than any of their other options. I watched a little bit of them in the SEC tournament and it was a similar story. Not exactly sure why, but perhaps we saw some of the reason in the top of the 6th there with Gutierrez giving up a couple of hits. Though in fairness, Kavan put her in a mess there after she ran out of gas. So I guess that's the question: Is it a deep staff, or just 1 ace and a bunch of other players they don't trust?
