Southern Mississippi (1-11) allowed 35 runs of 20+ yards last fall, worst in the country. Kent State (0-12) allowed 31 runs of 20+ yards last fall, second-to-last. Who finished 132nd? You guessed it...US with 30! The third-worst defense at surrendering explosive ground plays. This is not meant to be a bash at all. Just highlighting how far the standard fell under Goodwin and how badly we needed a change at DC. I hope Tom Allen is able to put the talented pieces together this fall!

Answer is easily D.

Our 2018 defense was so lethal b/c they could stop the run 95% of the time with just the 4 lineman. Heck, they were so good they could stop the run most of the time with 3 if they wanted to.
