Sounds like it could be better dollars wise for those extra 80,000 sets of eyes to watch games and boost our ratings. Maybe sell the tickets, but nobody show up. That way everybody wins

We have around 2M average TV viewers so those 80K probably won’t move the needle.

My crisis of conscience is do I have to stop watching ACC football games in which Clemson isn’t participating? I’m not gonna watch wake vs cal anyway, but there might be FSU, Miami, tarhole games that I would watch. Now that giving ratings to other schools could hurt us does the fan base have to come together and avoid watching other ACC games?

I am quickly becoming the same. I noticed the past couple of years, I was primarily watching Clemson Football whereas in past years I recorded and watched every game that was on TV.

Maybe we should accept Notre Dame's offer to play every year. They have a ton of fans who would watch. Since they are not in the ACC for football, they wouldn't be competing against us in the viewing war.

We don’t know but I’m for leaving every TV in everyone’s house on our games. It can’t hurt.

Well if it’s based on Nielsen ratings, you’d be better off finding those ~42k Nielsen households and paying them to pencil in Clemson on their viewing log.
