So at what point does a trap game stop being a trap game?

Oct 29, 2015, 1:19 PM

If everyone thinks you're going to lose, or at least struggle, in a particular game...doesn't it cease to be a "trap"? Isn't it now just a tough game?

A trap game is not a game "everyone thinks" you will lose.

A trap game is a game, usually just before a perceived "bigger" game, that is perhaps underrated in difficulty.

I would imagine in most "trap games," the team being potentially "trapped" is a favorite to win by most.

I guess my point was that I've seen so many people call NC State a "trap"... and you know the players see and read this stuff.

It kind of defeats the purpose of the trap if the team isn't being trapped. I don't know, just thinking out loud.

Usually, it's right after it starts and we take the lead and commence to kicking the crap out of them.
