Seems stupid for the ACC to not have national ranking as a higher tiebreaker

If the season ended today we'd be the odd man out of the ACCG because we'd lose the 5th tiebreaker, which is conference opponents winning percentage. Not only must we hope to win out, we also need to hope SMU and Miami take a loss (I'm not including Pitt because if we win out they'll have a loss) as well as hope all the teams on our schedule continue to win. If we win out, we'd likely be no lower than 5 or 6 in the national rankings, yet we could be left out of the ACCG. That would really be a bad look for the conference.

We may have a better chance getting in just winning out the rest of the season which will keep us in top 10, then get left out of the ACCCG, let Miami beat SMU and get an at large bid

It's risky but if we make the ACCCG and lose to Miami we have zero chance
