are the huge winners today.. espn gets cheap content, sec and big get to make sure another conference can never take off due to espn constantly burying them even lobbying for smu to miss the playoff this year. nd gets to play the big boys of the conference to further their non conference joining stance because they get t pad their resume each year. losers are those in the acc whats new

games, and everything else that marks you out as an inferior conference vs the Big Boys. Just think Palmetto Bowl Death Valley at 12 noon but Upside Down Cockroach at 8:00 Prime. SMH.

If ESPN had opted out and this was bid on by an open market, do you think a different media partner exists who would

A. Pay the ACC more money
B. Provide better visibility?

NBC already has the CFP programming they need with ND and B1G.
CBS has B1G.
Fox has B1G and some Big 12.
ESPN / ABC has more SEC than ever.

Is the CW going to pay the ACC a billion dollars for a bunch of scrub WF and Duke games? Bring the production in house and stream on a newly created ACC app, charging fans X dollars a month? Pretty risky.

Yes it is annoying that ESPN is so in the tank for the SEC, especially when it comes to their talking heads advocating for the max number of SEC teams to make the playoff. But I don’t blame them for paying the ACC a fair price for the current ACC product. That’s just business and I’m not sure the conference as a whole could do much better. Certainly Clemson and FSU could do better if we were free agents, but we aren’t so it is what it is until 2036.

Before you go nuts, wait and see how much money each conference gets in the 24-25 season and you may be surprised.

Winners are the ACC bottom feeders that ND doesn’t want to -lay. The want more Tigers and I would think others like U, UNC.
