more effective than offering a little less $$, but emphasizing the family and educational aspects like Clemson? Talking big picture, program perspective here.

Big picture, Clemson stays the course. Then some guidelines are implemented preventing pay for play use of NIL requiring the players to actually do something for the $. When the dust settles, Clemson will have set the standard and Dabo looked at in a good light.

A&M has thrown money around more than anyone, what has it gotten them? Ohio State had to buy their team from the portal last year. Looked real shaky until the playoffs started. On the other hand Clemson has taken a more measured approach and what do you think we would have done with a better DC the last few years? Dabo’s system works and I think he realized his errors with coaching and portal usage. We’ve had more sustained success other Alabama and Ohio state the last ten years. Clemson has money to be competitive and with Dabo, we do it the right way.

You can throw money all day long. However....these kids still have to be coachable.....the team has to be coached and still put in the best situations during a game. Talent is talent ....but desire and " want to " don't always show up when they're thinking about playing on Sundays....or the next thing they're going to with their money.
We got to beat some credible teams all over again.....this year. We do that....money will come right along with the recruits. Even with that....the flip side is a recruit suddenly not happy with his place on the depth chart or they've been tampered with at the store or something to go elsewhere for more money.

They & others have had billions more than us for decades, but we won vastly more than them anyway, so maybe that's a good place to start.
There's a limit to what they can spend, but Clemson matches that same limit explicitly (consider the difference it we couldn't first).
We have world-class NIL including a first-of-its-kind NIL & Branding center, the first-ever national commercial NIL campaign, the top-rated funding arm in college sports most years for ages, etc.
Our own wealth, among many other things, absolutely helped contribute to nearly snagging this one recruit that wouldn't have changed our minds about it otherwise, you know? They were favored for 3 years of him visiting A&M, we came in much later but still put up a closer chance than anyone else anyway (worth considering).
Money mattered, including ours, but it's not the outlier for Clemson not having success with this one recruit or many in the future outright, and our wealth IS an advantage we should celebrate. Don't know where we'd be without it, but glad we don't have to worry about it, either.
