He'll eat all day against mid-week pitching. Look at his stats against teams with any pulse. Not good... love him to death, plays a mean 2nd.
He should have bunted there. He might make it with the infield playing dp depth... and a brand new pitcher. Then again we gave them 2 runs.

I'd flip him and Listi. I think it's mental. At least for a midweek game. Or Put Purify at 9 in the lineup. If he gets hot again it's and extra lead off man.

last year plus they all hit over .300. Wright at .340, Hinderleider at .336 and Obertop at .303. 57 home runs and 38 doubles between them. Cam and Mathes also hit over .300 with double digit home runs. We will see how it all shakes out the rest of the year, but it is possible after tonight we will have only one hitter batting over .300 (Cam) for the time being. Purify will be right at .300 depending on his next at bat(s). This team has won a lot of games this year, and I am proud, but I believe we will have to get hot with the bats to advance in post season. I certainly hope so. In my opinion Coach Bakich's first season team had the most talent suited to make a good run in Omaha. I hope to eat those words this year.
