So here is the thing with fan sites, there are people of all ages looking at and commenting on stories or events. The news a couple of days ago that Kris Benson was elected to the College Hall of Fame went largely unnoticed because the people that yell about baseball are maybe not old enough to remember Kris Benson and the great players and teams back when he was playing. If my old memory serves me, one of the posters made a reference to there never being great pitchers at Clemson. Our family went to the Olympics in Atlanta is 1996 and we saw Billy Koch pitch and Matthew Lecroy catch for the US. Kris Benson was also on the US team but didn't pitch the day we were there. To have 2 pitchers as good as Kris Benson (College Player of the Year) and Billy Koch on the same team compares to the pitchers on the LSU team this year. Comparing decades of history is a task and comparing players 30 years apart is a challenge but we have had pitchers back in the day and hopefully, we will have some studs down the road too.
