I hope Neff and the powers that be tell Notre Dame, become a full member or suck eggs! I would not schedule them, it only helps them. I also see no way we, FSU, or any other gets an "extra share". If you are Wake, BC, NC State... are you going to agree with that? Also, the powers that be, ESECPN, SEC, B1G, will use that against the conference champ when playoff time comes! Get us out!

We aren't getting out. The only way to get out is to be invited by the Big Ten or SEC. We can't make then invite us. No amount of yelling and screaming will change that.

It’s a nationally televised game, typically in prime time, against the most popular football program in the nation.
The sticking point would be that our administration probably wouldn’t want to lose a home game against a smaller in-state school and miss out on the revenue it provides.

You really believe Neff and Clemson have that kind of power? It's not true.

Grow up. Nobody tells Notre Dame what they have to do. ACC schools and the cities they are in make huge money every time Notre Dame comes to town. Having Notre Dame on the football schedule is a huge deal and nobody would risk losing that.

Do you know why Notre Dame wanted to add Clemson to their schedule every year?
Has ND ever done anything in FB schedules or marketing to benefit anyone other than ND? H ell No,! They want to add Clemson because it helps ND get a bigger tv contract with whoever they have a sole contract with. I don't keep up with them so I have no idea who televises them. But I do know that they play a pretty weak schedule and the SEC and BIG ARE GOING TO QUIT SCHEDULING THEM. THUS, WHEN ND'S contract comes up for renewal, they need a Clemson on that schedule to get a decent tv contract. They are using Clemson to help themselves just as they have used the ACC to help themselves and not to help the ACC.
CLEMSOB should not play ND every year w/ o a big payout for that game and I mean big. It sets Clemson up for another loss that other teams don't have to face and could be the game that keeps Clemson out of the cfp since ND pretty much has a guaranteed spot and gets to play one less game.
ACC, ESPN using Clemson and Clemson ends up getting screwed. You know it is going to happen. Having to be locked in the SCC until 2036 guarantees that Clemson will PROBABLY NEVER be joining the SEC OR BIG UNTIL AND UNLESS the whole college fb conferences dissolve and the 64 team cfp national conference is established.

They don't need Clemson to get a "decent" TV contract. I mean that's just idiotic to be honest with you. Notre Dame's going to get one the top TV contracts regardless.

What Junk Yard Tiger said! The SEC and B1G are not going to play them. They need Clemson, Clemson does not need them! They need the ACC for scheduling. The Army, Navy, NIU, Washington States of the world will not cut it!

So far, Big 10 and SEC teams are still scheduling Notre Dame. Playing Clemson more often is great because it's usually a big game, the fans are great, and it's a strong resume builder if you win (or even lose closely).
ND's future schedules including Big 10 and SEC teams: 25 - Texas A&M, Arkansas, Purdue, Southern Cal. 26 - Wisconsin, Michigan St, Purdue, USC 27 - Purdue, Michigan St, USC 28 - Texas, Arkansas, Purdue, USC 29 - Alabama, Texas, USC 30 - Indiana, Alabama, USC 31 - Florida, Indiana, USC 32 - Florida, USC

Ten years ago, Notre Dame fans paid $500 dollars for one of my side-by-side parking spaces in Lot 5. $500 for one game. For parking. And then because it was raining they left even before kick off. I'm sure they drop a ton of money wherever they go.

We already have ND on the schedule 3 times the next 6 years until 2031. (27,28,31) and in 2034. Don't see how it changes things that much.
They better not replace UGA (29,30,32,33) with them or OU in 2035 and 3036

Seriously? I guess you’re right. Beating inferior teams probably does help them in the Win column. That’s about it.

They are not going to join a conference. Why would they? What benefit does it provide them? They would then have to share revenue from bowl and playoff revenues. They also wouldn't be allowed to keep a TV deal for themselves. Probably the biggest hurdle to ever get them to join a conference would be losing their automatic bid into the playoff if they are in the top 12 or 14 if they expand the playoffs. Notre Dame has all of the leverage.
