CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – With the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship getting underway this weekend, nine Atlantic Coast Conference schools will compete in the regional round. Regionals begin Friday, May 29, and run through Monday, June 2, at campus sites around the country.
The regional format for the Division I baseball championship is a double-elimination tournament, with the 16 winning teams advancing to the super regionals, scheduled for June 6–9. The top eight remaining teams will host the super regionals in a best-of-three series, with the eight winners advancing to the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
At least one ACC team has reached the Men’s College World Series in each of the past 18 years it has been held, with multiple ACC teams advancing 12 times during that span. The ACC has placed a total of 35 teams in the past 18 Men’s College World Series, averaging just under two per season.
North Carolina, which won the 2025 ACC Baseball Championship, will host the Chapel Hill Regional and begin its postseason journey against No. 4 seed Holy Cross on Friday at noon ET on ACC Network. The Tar Heels will also be joined at Boshamer Stadium by No. 2 seed Oklahoma and No. 3 seed Nebraska.
Florida State is hosting a baseball regional at Dick Howser Stadium for the 37th time in tournament history, the most of any school. The Seminoles will open the NCAA tournament against No. 4 seed Bethune-Cookman on Friday at 3 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
Clemson will host a regional for the third straight season, squaring off with No. 4 seed USC Upstate on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ACC Network. Also participating in the Clemson Regional are No. 2 seed West Virginia and No. 3 seed Kentucky.
Duke begins the NCAA tournament as the No. 2 seed in the Athens Regional and will face No. 3 seed Oklahoma State. The Blue Devils will meet either No. 1 seed Georgia or No. 4 seed Binghamton in their second game.
Georgia Tech, which won the ACC regular-season title, will travel to Oxford, Mississippi, as the No. 2 seed in the Oxford Regional. The Yellow Jackets will face No. 3 seed Western Kentucky on Friday at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+ in their opening contest. Also competing in the Oxford Regional are No. 1 seed Ole Miss and No. 4 seed Murray State.
In the Nashville Regional, Louisville will take the field as the No. 2 seed. The Cardinals will face No. 3 seed East Tennessee State in the opening round, beginning at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The Nashville Regional also includes No. 1 seed Vanderbilt and No. 4 seed Wright State.
Miami will begin the Hattiesburg Regional as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 2 seed Alabama at 3 p.m. ET on Friday on ESPN2. The Hurricanes’ 50th NCAA tournament appearance—and first under second-year head coach J.D. Arteaga—also features No. 1 seed Southern Miss and No. 4 seed Columbia.
NC State will travel to Auburn, Alabama, for the Auburn Regional, where the Wolfpack will face No. 3 seed Stetson on Friday at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+. This marks the first time in program history that NC State has returned to the postseason following a trip to the Men’s College World Series. The Wolfpack and Hatters will be joined by No. 1 seed Auburn and No. 4 seed Central Connecticut State.
Wake Forest will participate in the Knoxville Regional as the No. 2 seed, facing No. 3 seed Cincinnati at 1 p.m. ET on Friday on ESPN+. Also competing in the Knoxville Regional are No. 1 seed Tennessee and No. 4 seed Miami (Ohio).
