NIL Money and the 2025-2026 Team

I think we are sitting in a good spot in NIL heading down the home stretch in building our team. I have heard that last year's team had about a 4 million dollar NIL budget. I have no clue how true that is, but it lines up with what I have heard with other comparable schools. If we did have a 4 million dollar budget last year, here is how I see that being broken down:
Chase Hunter - 750,000 Ian Schef - 750,000 Jaeden Zackery - 600,000 Viktor Lahkin - 500,000 Chauncey Wiggins - 300,000 Dillon Hunter - 200,000 Jake Heidbreder - 100,000 Del Jones - 100,000 Myles Foster - 150,000 Christian Reeves - 150,000 Asa Thomas - 100,000 Ace Buckner - 100,000 Dallas Thomas - 200,000
Total - 4,000,000
With our current roster here is how I see NIL is distributed. I also wonder if NIL has increased this year with Revenue sharing. If it increased us 10-20% then that would put us between 4.4 - 4.8 million. This makes me think we have more than enough money to get a high profile guard and then maybe another nice piece for depth. There are still a lot of good guards out there including some that aren't currently in the portal. Here's to hoping we round out our roster in the next couple weeks with some good news!
Dillon Hunter - 300,000 Portal Guard - 750,000 Zack Davidson - 750,000 Carter Welling - 600,000 Butta Johnson - 300,000 RJ Godfrey - 300,000 Jake Wahlin - 250,000 Portal Guard Depth - 250,000 Dallas Thomas - 300,000 Ace Buckner - 150,000 Zac Foster - 300,000 Chase Thompson - 100,000 Trent Steinour - 100,000 Blake Davidson - 50,000
Total - 4,500,000.

I heard Vik was like $300-400k but I agree overall with your assessment.
I think the staff needs to banks truck as much as they can to get that last good lead type scoring guard.
Wish they could have continued bringing in another ACC guard like they did the last two seasons. Someone like Jamir Watkins from FSU, but will take some of the guards they are involved with.

I just care whether the guys can play defense and score from the field and the line. No way players who still have sores from sitting on the bench earned $100,000.

A co-worker of mine, his son played at DePaul (Big East) this past season, was a leading scorer and starter and was paid $150k.

Thanks for the reference.
On the flip side if that. Louisville is paying 8 million for the 2025-2026 team

Yeah but they’re stuck with a crap coach like Pat Kelsey. Brownell’s coaching acumen is worth $3.5 to $4 million in NIL. Clemson GRIT!

I just did. So you are incorrect. And calling someone a “moron” is a violation of TOS. I’ll just collect these for awhile.

So is trolling....
Kind of sad that a grown man, would "collect" rules violations in an effort to get somebody banned from an anonymous website. You do you. 😂

Chase Hunter was the highest paid athlete at Clemson this year. Hope that helps.

I have no idea if your numbers are close or not but for some reason common sense tells me that Dillon's $$ would be higher based on expected starting player and what Chase made.
That said, most numbers being floated around are suggesting that of the $20.5mil going to athletes, 88-90% will go to football, 5% to men's bball and the other 5-7% will go to other sports. If true, then that is another $mil going to basketball and around 25% more money. Again all these are suggested breakdowns by people that know more than I do on the money distribution.
