house right now. I must be in an air pocket. It poured on us a couple of times on the way to, and on the way back from Doc appointment in Cootlumbia.

I used to live in an area that 1/2 mile in any direction would get downpours and I would not get a drop of rain.

uncommon for it to either rain buckets at the plant, and be dry at my house, or be dry at the plant, and find a lake in my yard when I got home. Some kind of shifting atmospheric trough is definitely at play in this area.

Maybe its because you live in Orangeburg so if you were to move
to Cootlumbia, you would get plenty of rain.

One thing I have learned is just because the radar is showing green over your house doesn't mean the moisture is falling from aloft.

I've had many laughs over the years as I left Greenville in a torrential downpour, then a drizzle in Mauldin, and then nothing as I get home. He was a native and knew what he was talking about. Born in Simpsonville when the only way to hear a Clemson game was around the radio & pot-bellied stove at Howard's Pharmacy. Nobody could afford their own radio, let alone a TV.

One of my favorites was a young lady weather reporter floating in a John boat telling everyone to stay home, it’s too dangerous out here! Two fellows came walking by in ankle deep water. Camera panned back, she was in a boat in a ditch! Hilarious.
