Licor 43 - anyone tried this stuff?

Jul 12, 2023, 11:04 AM

Some friends of ours got hooked on this with whipping cream floated on top (they look like cute little beers) but this stuff tastes like candy. I can imagine you could find all kind of way to make drinks with this #### that would take the pants right off a lady.

It's super sweet but has great flavor. I saw a suggestion that I guess I have to try now which was 2 ounces rye bourbon, one ounce of Licor 43, an egg and a half ounce of simple syrup. Dry shake to mix, then add ice and wet shake. Then again, it's probably just a shortcut to eggnog.

Haven't picked any up in a while, but we got on a kick with it after our trips to Spain, where it is hugely popular.

localized, dunno). Had it for the first time at Fogo de Chao in Dallas in like 2000, along with a bunch of sales reps and Japanese executives who didn't understand how to get the meat cutters to stop piling cow on their plates.

Our friends from Canada taught us about that.***
